"Burbor / Burbur" means "furry" in Ilocano and is the name of this terry cloth like weaving technique, creating a series of plush loops. Made with abaca, a type of banana fiber, these fibers will continue to soften over time.
The border design is a traditional Ilocos Norte motif.
